Hi David! I translate bits from the books I am looking at that week. Being that I am drawn to a variety of topics, my translations follow my eccentricity, lol.
I've always been a middle-distance runner and started CrossFit about 1 year ago. This book was mentioned as a foundational reference for the early CrossFitters, so my curiosity was piqued. It is so interesting! And it already has given me a new-and-improved appreciation for technique during my few CrossFit classes per week. :)
I am really enjoying the CrossFit! I wanted to see if it would make me a stronger runner...and it does! Also, it is just fun, lol. When else in our day will we jump on boxes or do farmer's carries or bear crawls, lol? Not in my average day! We have to build those movements into our days or they will not happen. We also stretch in CrossFit which I have never been disciplined to do, so another bonus. :) Trying to go 4 times a week to CrossFit this year and without sacrificing running (20-25 miles per week during non-winter months) --let us see what we can do!
I’m fascinated that you’re translating Starting Strength. What’s the connection? 💖

Ooh I love a bit of eccentricity! 😆💕
It was indeed an early CrossFitters bible. I was an early CrossFit coach. Good times!! 🏋️♂️

That’s amazing! 4 CrossFit sessions and 20+miles 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😀
Yeah it’s a lot of fun isn’t it. People generally take fitness way too seriously. I’ve always just like throwing my body around 😂
