You know, reading the Swahili in these simple sentences really makes me wish I could study the language seriously. It sounds beautiful when I watch lessons on YouTube. Over the holidays, I did look through the pdf that I have. I learned cow (ng'ombe), chicken (kuku), and then life got in the way... Baby steps.
Mmerikani, how is your kompyuta? (In Japanese, it's "konpyu-ta-", but people usually say "pasokon" [personal computer]).

Kwaheri.👋🏽
Hi Louise! My pasokon is now scheduled to arrive on Thursday, with the frigid East Coast weather system causing shipping delays.
As for the Swahili, it is like our patient and enduring moon--always there for us whenever we have a moment to spend time with it. :)
What a beautiful thought, Mmerikani❣️Yes, languages are patient with us, aren’t they. There are more things to learn from them than we might think.
